Richard joined Deeth & Co. LLP in January 2014 with over 35 years of public accounting experience. He graduated from the University of Waterloo where he earned an Honours Bachelor of Math (Co-op Chartered Accountant) degree. While studying Math he took 16 computer science courses. This combination of accounting and computer science provided him with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Richard co-founded a small public accounting firm with John Sidler and played a critical role growing the firm from 4 to over 40 people. Richard’s vision in the mid 90’s formed the foundation of the IT consulting arm of the firm providing services to private and public enterprises across the country.
Richard needed a new challenge. He saw the opportunity at Deeth & Co. LLP to move away from a role that was focused on administration and return to a more hands-on role delivering client service, his first passion.
Richard views the clients as central to the firm and is committed to building a strong, unified team to service them.
In his spare time, Richard enjoys home renovation projects and is an active golfer and curler at the Mississauga Golf and Country Club.
